System Shock 2

System Shock 2 (commonly abbreviated SS2 or Shock2) is a science-fiction horror-themed PC game that incorporates elements commonly seen in first-person shooters and role-playing games. The title was developed by Looking Glass Studios and Irrational Games as a direct sequel to the seminal 1994 PC game System Shock and was released on August 11, 1999 by publisher Electronic Arts to widespread acclaim. Despite poor sales, System Shock 2 has since become a cult classic and is now regarded by critics as one of the greatest games ever made.

System Shock 2 is a first person shooter come role playing game in which the player will play throughout the linear storyline collecting weapons, upgrading weapons and advancing skills and abilities.

The game can take up to 30 hours of play to complete.

Furthermore, the System Shock series is father to Bioshock (you will understand why when you get into it).


Additional Info:
This game can be played in co-operative mode with an additional three players (four in total) on a local area network. Using Hamachi, the co-operative mode can be played online. I personally recommend the co-operative play, it is extremely fun with the full four players.

There are modifications available that can enhance gameplay graphic-wise and more.

Stranger certainly lives up to its name. This role-playing/real-time strategy hybrid is decidedly strange in every respect, from its bizarre setting to its unusual game mechanics and its gawky interface. Russian developer Fireglow Games seems to have set out to make something rather offbeat, but then followed this philosophy so far off the beaten path that the end product turned into a surreal, inept jumble of half-baked ideas. Despite a couple of interesting innovations and some traditional hacking-and-slashing that sticks close to a familiar formula, the game is simply too odd and too clumsily made to appeal to either RPG or RTS gamers.

Space Siege is the spiritual successor to the Dungeon Siege series from designer Chris Taylor and Gas Powered Games. As our home world explodes, a lone colony ship called the Armstrong manages to slip through the enemy armada, but it's not alone. An alien pod attaches itself to the hull, and insect-like creatures called the Kerak pour into a cargo bay, hoping to destroy what remains of the human race. You jump right in as combat engineer Seth Walker, armed with only a machine gun, and begin blasting away at the Kerak menace. Watching Earth explode is powerful, and a great premise with which to begin a sci-fi adventure, but it's all downhill from there.

Spore: Galactic Adventures [2009]

om the very tiniest forms of life to the intergalactic level of existence, you are in control of
life itself in this simulation game by Will Wright. Beginning in the primordial ooze, players create
a character from DNA that will grow, survive, and mate as it evolves from a single-celled organism
to a fully-formed member of an establishing species. As more and more creatures inhabit the world,
and as evolution forms the future, your species will join herds, clans, even civilizations. The more advanced
the creatures of the planet grow, the more complex the strife of survival becomes. And while the
player can continue gameplay in Spore at any level -- playing as a cell, as a wild creature, or as
a civilized and organized society ï?½ players can also step even further out and play the game from
the planetary or interstellar level, while also going online to connect worlds with other gamers.
